The new Managed DNS system for Linux environments streamlines name resolution and network discovery, making it easier to manage host names and service discovery within your Netmaker networks.

• Simplified network roles (now hidden away)

The node addition workflow has been completely revamped, offering:

🐞 Known Issues and Workarounds

While we've made substantial improvements, there are some known issues we're actively working to resolve:

1. Remote Access Gateway Client Key Propagation
   • Issue: Custom private/public keys for Remote Access Gateway clients aren't properly propagating to other peers
   • Status: Under investigation
2. IPv6 DNS Configuration
   • Issue: IPv6 DNS entries are currently not functioning as expected
   • Status: Being addressed in upcoming patches
3. Multiple Network Removal
   • Issue: Stale peers may remain on the interface when forced removal occurs across multiple networks simultaneously
   • Status: Fix in progress
4. DNS Toggle Behavior
   • Issue: Domain name resolution continues to work even when the DNS toggle is switched off
   • Status: Under review
5. Ubuntu 24.04 WireGuard DNS Issue
   • Issue: DNS configuration problems affecting Remote Access Client (RAC) and plain WireGuard external clients on Ubuntu 24.04 and some newer Linux distributions
   • Workaround: Please refer to our detailed guide for a temporary solution
